As a proud member of the Panamanian community, one of my first projects was inspired by the beauty of my cultural heritage and the traditional textile arts of the Kuna tribe. The Kuna are renowned for their exquisite Molas, which are handcrafted from layers of colored fabric to create vibrant and intricate designs. These Molas can be found on clothing, and even blankets. They are truly a testament to the artistic talent of the Kuna people. Fueled by this cultural pride and my passion for design, I set out to capture the essence of my heritage in my work. I have created a collection of unique and personalized animal art textiles, drawing inspiration from my memories of a huge bird Mola that hung on my wall when I was a child. Each piece begins with sketches and is brought to life through my love of design and attention to detail.
